In 2017, the debate over approving the ban on the import of transgenic crops caused increased public debates on the disadvantages or benefits of agricultural biotechnology in Iran. This increased the importance of studying how media coverage and frame agricultural biotechnology news. In this study, the news of three top Iranian news agencies over a 13-year period has been analyzed. Entman’s method is used for doing frame analysis. A review of all the biotech news shows that most of them are related to medical biotechnology and only 4.12 percent of the news covers agricultural biotechnology. The number of news on agricultural biotechnology has also increased dramatically between 2015 and 2017. All three news agencies have a non-critical and positive judgment towards this technology and its potential. The four frames identified include “management of agricultural biotechnology”, “effects of agricultural biotechnology”, “seeking support of agricultural biotechnology” and “public understanding of agricultural biotechnology”.

It seems that media and virtual spaces may persuade public to make change the smoking behavior as an interfering factor. This paper wants to recognize writing criteria in persuasive health related content, and to assess Iranian health websites which produce and distribute smoking related texts by regarding recognized criteria. For this, it synthesizes planed behavior theory (PBT) and persuasion theory to make distinguish persuasive criteria for changing behavior. Then, by considering these 16 categories as effective and by using qualitative approach and directed qualitative content analysis, the smoking related content in eight websites between April 2017 and December 2017 are analyzed. The overall number of smoking-related texts is 67 cases. Data are analyzed by MAXQDA 10. Findings show that health-related texts have low ability to make change in smoking behavior among smoker audiences. Fear, quotation, and brief-clear concluding have more frequency than other 13 criteria. So, their potential to make change in audience attitude is low. To increase their changing ability, it is needed that content providers consider other 13 criteria, too.

The present survey has been done for studying member’s communicative actions in Telegram virtual teams due to the way of impression management by using self -face work. Haberma’s communicative action and Goffman’s Impression management has been used as theoretical combination for this purpose. According to the specific characteristic of text messages in Telegram, linguistic analysis is an approach of research method. Approximately 10 thousand members from 20 Telegram groups as Art, Science and Sport will be evaluated in this survey. Results indicate significant presence of goal-oriented action in these groups. Telegram provides an opportunity for presence and making groups, but subordinating connections is more than dialogical relations and interactions. Members represent selves by confirming and accepting of messages, without criticizing and opposing. Furthermore, results show that supportive norm has appeared by new concept in these groups which members are using as positive face work, improving positive communication and meaningful impression management.
